Having given the letter to my chosen composer, he has recently replied saying he would happily work with me and has agreed to write me some music for my trailer.
As in trailers we have seen for teen comedies the music is generally upbeat and popular but because i cant use copyrighted materiel Jamie will be writing some upbeat music for me.
I would like my music to be similar to music such as 'neon trees' maybe a bit more pop like 'ed sheeran' for acoustic-sounding tracks.

film trailer attributes which are most important for me.
Narrative: My trailer has a constant voice over of the main character telling the viewers what the basic story is to entice them to find out what happens so the narrative is the main hook for my trailer because it's going to make the audience interested
Voice over- so because the voiceover is constant its very important that it is good and makes sense.
Character- we follow the main character in the trailer and she gives the voice over. I have to create a very strong character out of Jules so alot of work will go into this.

Effectiveness of movie posters
I think the Juno poster is most effective because it tells you the basic story without giving away any of the twists. We can see she's pregnant and its tagline gives us a hint about it's story. The poster is also bright and bold so it draws you in.
I think this poster is quite effective because its very blunt about what the story is but it seems very busy. the bright colours are effective too.
I think this poster is not very effective because it doesn't draw you in as much. the colours are all very samey and this does tell us the film is girly but it doesnt stand out in any wat and it doesnt tell us much about the story or why someone would want to watch it.
I think this poster is the least effective because it leaves us with no idea of what the movie could be about and the only thing that stands out is the title. there's no clues on it other than the three awkward looking boys. It does tell us who brings us the movie though which may give dedicated fans an idea of the basic themes. From this I know that my poster will need to be -
BRIGHT
hinty
not too obvious but pretty blatent without giving too much away
stand out
not too crowded but SOME INFO IS NEEDED

first 20 seconds
we're gonna start off in silence with this image, except the shot will be set up so we are looking up at the house and will include our main charachetr facing the house, she looks for a few seconds, sighs, and as she takes the first step up the path the music will kick in, we see her enter the house.
This will hopefully show the audience straight away that Jules does not want to be there.

Just a brief post with some of my 'company' details
This is the logo I will use for my 'production compnay'
As you can see the name is 'curve tree' and the image relates to this well.
I used this on the header of the letters I sent tomy chosen actors and will continue to use this for any other letters I may need to write.

Casting week day one.
Okay so in reality the only people i need to cast specifically would be my main character, Jules and dream boy Rob. everyone else in the trailer will be extras, and other names mentioned only their smiles are shown, so casting is not vital, extras can be used.
Jules, in my mind is a very plain, beautiful girl, with long hair. Very kind of 'english rose' beautiful, but with quite prominant featurse so her facial expressions can be read clearly.
Rob is, in my mind, a very simple looking guy, with a dominant jawbone and incredible hair. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE HAIR. I'm undecided on whether i should have someone with curls or a quiff but the hair is extremely important.
a few people i have in mind for Jules are : Katie Hutchinson, Sophie Waller, Jess Kelly, and at a last resort, myself.
People i have in mind for Rob are: Dan Overin, John Rowe, Nico cara, Leo Finighan

Film synopsis
Rules to break
Jules is awkward. Socially, emotionally, any which way you can imagine. She also doesn’t care. Known to her online viewers as ‘U.R.A55h0le5’ Jules vents about her life as a teenage social outcast through a vlog.
Jules talks us through the worst and best evening of her life as we look back with her to the ‘house party of the year’ which ended in tears, vomit, blood, sweat and probably every other bodily fluid you can imagine. Being as reluctant to conform as Jules is we see her life crumble in a few hours at the most disaster filled evening of her life.
When Rob crosses her mind things change though, its as though he knows her inside out without saying a word or ever hearing one from her lips..
When Rob crosses her mind things change though, its as though he knows her inside out without saying a word or ever hearing one from her lips..
But will her prince save the day? Will her dreams fall into place? Who is our mystery guest and what will come of this mess?
A hilarious trip of awkward teen life opens the eyes to reality and hilarity of teen emotions and situations.

Planning processes
I story boarded the last of my ideas to get some kind of structure to my plan. I wrote alot of notes and colour coded depending on what the notes applied to (sound/editing etc)
this is a basic idea for my poster. soon after creating this i did some research only to find that most movie posters are landscape and i will have to change this. I chose a specific colour scheme running through, purple, green and blue. i plan to use these colours prodominantly through the filming aswell as posters etc.
this is a list of things i completed over the summer ( i included this just to show thie craziness of my planning)
